  • Our low fat brownie recipe is low in calories but high in flavor.

Unlike our classic chocolate brownie recipe, these brownies are much less fat. This recipe uses dark chocolate – which contains less sugar and more cocoa than milk or white chocolate – which yields only 3g of fat per square. Easy to prepare and quick to make, these beautifully gooey brownies are ready in 40 minutes with just three easy steps. Sprinkle with icing sugar to finish and enjoy with your feet raised and a cup of tea in your hand.

    • 100g bar of dark chocolate, 70% cocoa, in squares

    • 2 medium eggs

    • 75 g each golden powdered sugar and light muscovado sugar

    • ½ teaspoon of coffee dissolved in 1 tablespoon of hot water

    • 1tsp vanilla extract

    • 90g Greek yogurt 0% fat

    • 90g plain flour

    • c baking powder

    • 15g cocoa powder

    • Icing sugar, for sprinkling

    • 17 cm square mold covered with baking paper

    • Set the oven to 180 ° C / 350 ° F / thermostat 4. Melt the chocolate in a saucepan of hot water. Cool for 5 min.

    • Beat eggs with sugar until fluffy. Stir in the chocolate, then the coffee, vanilla and yogurt. Gently fold in the sifted flour, baking powder and cocoa powder.

    • Smooth the mixture into the mold. Bake for 25-30 min. Let cool. Cut into 16 squares. Sprinkle with icing sugar.

Top tips for making low fat brownies:

We recommend using a 17cm square pan for this recipe, but don’t worry if you don’t have this one. Remember that the larger the tray, the thinner the brownies will be and the faster they will cook.
